My SUPER SIMPLE SkinCare Routine!

I’ve never had perfect skin and I still don’t but I definitely have come a long way. Never until recently have I loved my skin and the weird part about it, is my skin routine hasn’t changed for years. I have never gotten compliments on my skin until now so I thought I would share what I use! I’m super strict about the products that I put on my face especially when it comes to makeup and I am not one to invest in expensive products. Seriously, everything I use is drug store!

Here is a selfie I took when I was in Hawaii! All I have on is brows, mascara and lips! My forehead is a little bit burnt here and I may be a little rosy from being burnt too but blemishes are no where to be found! 🙂 I really thought I was going to break out due to the humidity and heat while on vacation but this was towards the end of my trip and I was pleasantly surprised.

Step by step here is my nightly skincare routine:

  1. I take off my makeup using Neutrogena Face Wipes (the regular kind)
  2. Rinse
  3. Smother my face with Coconut Oil

& TA DA! Thats all I do. I’m way too impatient and cheap to do anything more, honestly.

*SOMETIMES if I feel like I’ve been wearing a lot of make up lately I will scrub my face with St. Ives Apricot Scrub to get a really good clean but that’s only once in a while since I haven’t been wearing a lot of makeup lately. I like the little beads in it and it smells so yummy!

What I’ve learned is that when it comes to skincare is that you have to get your skin used to a routine. I feel like people with acne or skin problems are constantly trying new things to make it go away but I feel like that just freaks out your skin with every new product you try. Whether your routine is simple or extensive, I truly believe that it was just time that helped my skin. Patience is key and time actually does heal everything!

X,

Alyssa Camille
