Whatever Floats Your Boat

It’s funny how people come in and out of your life. They all work differently and can play different roles in so many different aspects correlated with different parts of your personality. Whether the relationship is short lived, the length of the relationship does not determine the depth between the two. Trust and loyalty can be built in a matter of seconds between two strangers just as fast as it can be lost between two long time lovers. This morning as I watch the boats come and go, I appreciate all the people who have done the same in my life even just in the past several months. Whether they were just a small jet ski of fun speeding through my days to make me laugh or a giant yacht that was there to hold me over through a storm, big or small waves..they helped me through. Today I appreciate the people who have come into my life and even those who have left…those who have fought to stay, and those who I’ve had to let go of myself. Every single person has a purpose & sometimes we forget that we are purposefully placed in other’s lives for a reason. Appreciate the people that are in your life today and remember the role that you play in theirs. Remember who’s in your boat to help you row and be aware of those who are drilling holes when you’re not looking. In the past several months, I’ve had to say a lot of goodbyes but those have made me a better person towards all of these new hello’s. Now, I don’t have a boat but I’m happy to know that if I did, I’d need to get a very big one.
